Filming movies that the public will never see is not a viable business model even with a tax write off.
He left out the part where you “shelve” the movies instead of releasing them, which leads to the tax write-off. This way he just sounds nuts.
Many movies lose enough money that they are tax write-offs even if they are released.
Just ask Warner Bros. about the Coyote vs. Acme debacle! … (I wanna see that movie – somehow)!! … :)
