Blimey! Don’t know if I lost contact with the internet for a while, but all of a sudden there’s a whole load of new comments from you guys all at once! Last one that came was Six’s return to which I replied, but just now all the other comments have landed and there’s 12 between Six’s return and my response to it that just weren’t there before! How weird is that!

Now I’m gonna have to read them all of course!

I couldn’t watch the You Tube vid you linked to… DK are a PITB when it comes to such things… if they are charging people for the material that’s being shown on You Tube, they block it from view…

Ah… I just checked out Wiz of Id and could see that you weren’t familiar with the YY ditty?

This page is beginning to be saturated I think… I can’t even post a ‘reply’ without reloading the page… and that is getting tiresome really quickly…. maybe it’s my images causing a lag…?

Hmmm… there are apparently several subjects I ought to address! Not least welcoming a certain Number back to the strip!

Don’t much like gmartin997’s comment… he has no idea of the choice my friend was faced with… she had the high-grade aggressive non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma with only a 20% chance of survival if she chose to let them treat her, because the treatment could kill rather than cure her – she could have instead have chosen to receive pain-management at high doses, so she could eek out her remaining months oblivious, and was assured a pain and struggle-free diminishment. She couldn’t get the high-dose pain management and treatment simultaneously as they were incompatible. She chose to take the 20% odds of beating the cancer AND the treatment — and she did it too.

Yeah I’m still here! Just wrote more or less the same to gmartin as I’ve written here.

Hello all… an acquaintance of mine has asked me to drop by, and convey the message that she has so far been unable to get online today, as her computer is having problems.

Number Six, my acquaintance asked me to ‘doff my hat’ to you on her behalf… She said from this you would recognise her and understand its significance.

As for Ballard Street, all I did there was copy the strip and then, in Paint Shop Pro, color the area as suggested by SusanSunshine. Then post it in the comments. I just did a quick and dirty job as I didn’t preserve the bumps the gators back. I should have layered the image and then done a color replace within a selection. That would have looked much better.

@Number Six I’ve just reworked the Village Salute into a much smaller file.

Might even work as an avatar.

Glad you found it useful. As you’ve probably noticed posting an emoticon is much like posting a link to webpage. So now you should be able to post any image from the web that allows hotlinking. Some sites, like the Frog Blog don’t allow hotlinks, so you have to copy the image to something like photobucket and link to there. As I mentioned to Shady Lady there’s an add-on to FireFox that lets you copy the image directly into photobucket.
