That pipe is already pretty much frozen.

I wonder what Ziggy is going to be smoking with that pipe? Maybe some Christmas spirit?

Ziggy’s pipe dream.

Back in Chicago, a house I lived in had a total pipe freeze, what a disaster, I lived through that! I do not think that is funny!…

His snowballs already frozen.

I remember there was a guy I worked with once, he came in to work one night and was feeling real proud of himself. His wife had taken his young son back to New York to visit her family and to save money he’d turned off the heat in their apartment and moved in with a friend for the week. Since this was the middle of winter I had to ask him if he meant that he’d turned the heat off, or just way down and he said off. So I asked him if he was worried about the pipes freezing with the heat off and a big winter storm coming in and he gave me a puzzled look and asked what I was talking about. I had to explain to him how water pipes could freeze and burst if it got too cold. Right after work he ran back to his apartment and turned the heat back on but at the lowest possible setting. He didn’t end up saving as much money as he expected, but he didn’t end up losing a lot of money from the flood damaging his apartment.

That carrot will shrivel and/or break in freezing temperatures.

Something else is gonna freeze if you stay outside too long.
