That would be a strain on the decorations too, as much as the lights are pretty. In winter, there should be more reasons to have outdoor light themed decoration.
There are a few homes in our town that leave their Xmas lights up all year. I don’t criticize though. I figure they’re seniors who have accepted their limitations.
I like all the lights. The inflatable decorations are pretty funny. I’ve seen at least a dozen that were face planted on the ground. They look like they’re casualties of too much cheer.☺️
Please be careful when choosing your light combinations. When I come around a corner and suddenly see flashing red and blue lights I have to rapidly slow, throw my beer out the window, toss my phone on the floor, and shove my gun under the seat. Too stressful for this time of year.
We used to keep our decorations in our DETACHED garage. One year we had terrible snow. We could not even take down the inside decorations or tree as the storage boxes were out in the snow until the snow melted. Since then it all stored in the house.

No grinch, He has a point. Same reason we don’t eat thanksgiving turkey or go trick or treating all year. It’s a SPECIAL day! Treasure them.

I love the lights when they’re different colors: red, blue, green, yellow, orange.
Unfortunately, most holiday lights today are these skinny white LED bulbs that are just “blah”.
That’s OK indoors, where pretty ornaments and decorations compensate, but outside, they’re just as dull as street lamps.

Lights day is the loneliest day of the year.

The ladder relishes the de-lights day.

How long before you get tired of seeing them, then they won’t be special anymore.

Lights day is only logical if Adam puts his lights out and takes them down on the same day.

Waaay too many people do leave them up all year. Fortunately, few insist on keeping them lit after the holidays.

He’s exactly right. Way too many things that used to be special aren’t any longer because now they can be had any time.
