I don’t know about the “chewing” part, but I expect that he considers it an observation post rather than a bed leg. He was, no doubt, observing Mrs Dobie and hopes to again.

Note: There’s no way Mrs. Dobie is seeing todays toon… don’t need to give her any ideas! She already thinks I’m a few french fries short of a Happy Meal!

I guess detective Hays will have an easier time than he expected unraveling this case.

HA! Fortunately for her the hospital had a strict visitor patient confidentiality policy. Everyone had to sign an NDA as well as a DNR.

If only they had used Scotch Tape, she could have known who was who.
