When he gets older he’ll think of the end of year tax deduction first. Benefit to others will be secondary.
My daughter gave my grandkids a couple of toys for Christmas,and they played with the bubble wrap that came in the box. What ?
He’s just dumping his stuff. No generosity involved. This little Scrooge is hoping for better replacements.

meh, I’ll take whatever benefit this can give to society, it’s basically an allegory for billionaires who donate to charities so they don’t have to pay taxes
