The quest is: how many more people to you need to add to the sled make it go faster, or is it just that sledding envigorates and stimulates the brain and increases a healthy body.

Teachers enjoy a day off from school more than the students.

I remember the shocked look some students got when they saw me in a store or a movie theater. They thought I lived in the school and never left it.

Scientific experiment into the coefficient of friction of toboggan on snow, and the effects of increased drag vs momentum due to excessive loading.

She is on a quest for more knowledge. She is seeing how many times she and her parents can sled down dead man’s hill before they crash.

Just seeing that look on her face!

Then again, she could be having fun.

I always thought that they only visited the Marque de Sade museum.

She’s taking a toboggan, visiting a snow-covered slope, on a quest for fun.

Another stereotype shattered.

wow and all I do is play with my dogs and give them attention that I couldn’t while in class. Brought the wolf to school once and the students fell in love for all of 15 minutes. Then back to the grind.

Reminds me of that Amazon ad with the three women that are watching the kids slide down a hill. One gets an idea and goes forth, evidently from Amazon, and produces seat cushions and sleds for all three. they come down the hill smiling like we never have. One of the best ads I have seen in a long time :D

No way, papa. It takes DAYS to destress from teaching. Fun is always on the menu.

She also takes lessons from her students. It’s perfectly fine to have fun on a holiday break. Ms. Harris will curl up with a good lesson plan Saturday night. Then have New Year’s Eve and Day for one last burst of fun.
