I do not know why Nate is talking about marriage because Daphne and Nate could break up in the future

How…how did this start as one of the best arcs to just end like…this?

5/10. Idk wat to say, Francis has a point, but he is being a geek.

I still think Francis view is negative, but he’s kind of right

What an strange arc. Starting off so sweet only to have 4 jokes in a row which boil down to “wait wait I forgot my cynic hat in the first two strips”. I don’t… I don’t get the point. By which I mean Peirce’s point. Who follows up that wonderful two punch with this? Is that his way of assuaging hopes? Or just what he finds funny? Two snowball gags, an idiot gag and that odd tinder joke all amount to “I can have it both ways”. Can’t a Daphne arc feature her more? Can’t it at least end sweetly, I can live with 3 of these jokes.

2\10. This arc started 10\10 but turned sour. I guess it sums up big nate in 2023 well. There’s finally good stuff again, but also a whole lot of trash.

Just Face it Nate, eventually you will have to face what you did to Nichols car and pay the price

A strange arc indeed to conclude for the last storyline of the year

Almost zero, but it can happen. In one of Mr. Peirce’s comments in the Epic Big Nate, he mentioned a couple he knew that started dating in 7th grade and had since been married for almost 50 years

I remember saying on Sunday I had high hopes for this arc…. That aged like milk:(

Good thing Nate never bets money on his bets. His dad would go broke.

Okay, not the ending this arc deserved, but I was NOT expecting that hahahaha

There’s a lid for every kettle, Though I doubt that she is his lid. BUT you never know…….

It’s gotten to the point where Daphne is the only thing people seem to like about this strip anymore and she’s just not there :(

Arc started out good, ended terribly, they couldn’t include Daphne and Nate in the last strip of the last arc of the year? Really? The Jokes were barely even funny.

This is a rather dismal way to end such a joyful arc…

These last few strips aren’t even that bad and people are overreacting. Francis isn’t a terrible character and has helped Nate more than Nate helped Francis. I don’t know what everyone yapping about

Nate’s so-called “friend” is so negative and a pessimist. Sometimes I think he should drop the guy from his friendship bubble.

Fancis has a point. Personally, I’ve only met one couple of former middle school sweethearts who ended up getting married. Only after they broke up and met again, almost by chance, 15 years later. But a possibility, even if small, exists.

My wife and I met at the starting of seventh grade. We went steady our sophomore year, and married as juniors in collage. By the way, seventh grade was September 1978.
