I got the cinder blocks. Now just need to bring them upstairs and tie the tree to it. That should prevent a certain 9 month old kitten from knocking it down. (I hope!)
I sent out my own original Christmas cards with a pen drawing of my Muse, Wilamena the Radio Cat, peering out through the needles: “Wilamena Decorates Her Tree from the Inside.” :)

Dad used to have guy lines to keep our tree up. That way everybody (including cats) could enjoy it.
