Growing up my Mom made all the meals from fresh ingredients. A lot of work but both parents lived into their late nineties. All my siblings were lucky to get to 70. Processed food, cigarettes and radiation from atomic testing made their lives shorter, I think.

It’s the Swanson’s frozen TV dinne – probably the turkey dinner.

“Just in time” means “I saw you in the driveway, pressing start now.”

Stouffer’s lasagna, comin’ up!

Nothing like a home nuked meal.

For a real treat serve him Swanson Salisbury steak.

I retired from Air Force and skipped fast foods for the Truck Stops during travels. Good Chow. I can almost see the disappointment in Mr. Brutus eyes and drooping of his shoulders..

perfect… one meal served from the heated lamp thingy to your food being nuked. :J

Better microwaved leftovers than heat lamp desiccated food Brutus…

Ahh, nothing like home cooking. And her cooking is nothing like home cooking. However, for warming up a previously made meal, a microwave can be a very efficient and great way to reheat a previously well cooked meal. However, you have better odds of winning the jackpot in Vegas than getting a great home cooked meal from the wife. Yet that good man will rarely complain. He justs grins and bears it……

Hey, the microwave is the new cooking appliance of our time. There are even rice and pressure cookers that work inside a microwave. And there are convection ovens, induction pads, and air fryers.

It amazes me that they are so ‘weighty’ with her cooking.

I think that one of the greatest inventions of all time is the microwave. We use ours daily for one reason or another.

Brutus’s just-in-time meal is done.

We have a nice turkey dinner cooked up with great care at the Pickering Nuclear Plant. Plus the great part is you don’t need candles at the table.

“How thoughtful is Gladys, always looking out for me”, thinks Brutus…

“fresh out of the microwave” sounds as appetizing as… warmed under a heat lamp… ☺

We’ve taken to using our oven to reheat rather than the microwave – and if just for me, I use the air fryer – lower temp, less time, less volume to heat → less electricity to pay for.

Haha! In New Orleans, we can eat in gas stations like kings!
