All I ever hear before coffee is:

I’m not sure that there’s any scientific proof that coffee makes your brain work better and smarter, but I know it helps me do stupid stuff faster and with more energy.

Hmmm! Maybe Horace should cut down on the caffeine ……☺️

Couple of years before I retired I had to, for health reasons, quit coffee. First few weeks were painful. Then I got over the withdrawal. My life changed, my (universally) hated boss became nothing but a minor nuisance and was almost amusing. Nothing she did could stress me out and harsh my zen or what ever you want to call it. My last two years of work were… not that bad. I handled my high stress job with far less personal stress.I don’t trust coffee any more.
