There was a park in Santa Barbara at the beach where a clowder of neutered cats lived for many years. One day I watched them stalking a bird pretending to be injured – yes, the whole clowder. They locked on as one and began stealthily creeping forward. However, after only a minute, a fat, gray cat in the very back charged past the others, “I got it. I got it.”
