If cats could team up, there would be a lot less harrassment by dogs. However, it’s generally “every cat for himself”, unless kittens are involved. My neighbor’s marmalade tabby earned lifetime “mooching rights” at my house, when he went after a cat who had my kitten Colette by the ear. The two were friends for years until he moved out of the neighborhood.
