First weekend of the new year, cloudy, and I saw an 18 on the old thermometer. Generally cloudy all day high 25. They are talking an overnight snow, 6-12 in the southern counties, 2-4 in the northern counties but a light drier snow. The old snowblower should be able to remove it with ease.
Going to be a calm day, nothing more than post office, quick stop and home, but then you never know.
That funny little critter that is my avatar is a young possum who seems to be interested in the camera. Ears up and foreword with bright little eyes. I found him on Facebook.
Well, gotta go, busy you know (^.^) yah, right. Have a fine day Vagabonds and may God bless.
I did get my heart monitor yesterday and wore it until 10:30 this morning. It was cumbersome enough that I didn’t want to go out wearing it, so I skipped bible study this morning. They don’t video record it, so I’m just out of luck.
Once I took the thing off, I realized that I am sensitive to the adhesive in the tape the tech used to keep the sensors on my chest. I have big red splotches where I removed the tape. I guess the next time I’m asked if I am allergic to the adhesive I’ll say “yes”.
It was a bit of a grey day today. The high was 51 and it’s supposed to stay right around there for the next week or so. The overnights will be close to freezing.
Looking at the temp I saw 20 degrees, channel 3 web says light snow. The prediction for today says that snow will become snow showers this afternoon, high 23.
I have a prayer request, pastor Nate had some kind of health issue last night, I’m very low on info right now, some indications that he may have stopped breathing at least once. So please put him on your prayer lists.
Well, don’t know how church is going to go this morning. We have a regular sub that comes in when Nate is on vacation but, over night? Just go and find out.
It was donut Sunday today and while we aren’t using the “best in town” anymore due to their prices, the bakery at our local Albertson’s does a credible job. And they give us jelly donuts where the old place never did.
We finished up Acts 18 to day. Paul certainly got around, didn’t he?
One of the things that Tim brought up today was the “minor” divisions that were there in the early church and still exist today. His point was that both points of view were correct (Peter, James & co said that faith is useless without works and Paul & co said that everything was finished by Jesus on the cross). The main thing we can take away from this is that while there may be minor doctrinal differences, if we truly accept Christ as our Lord and Savior, the differences really don’t matter. We can agree to disagree. The big point is salvation and on that we agree.
We watched a great defensive hockey game last night. The Silver Knights finally did lose, but it got all the way to a shootout before they did. The two goalies were both phenomenal. Some of the saves both of them made were nearly miraculous.
It’s another blustery day here. We’re at about 49 but the chilly wind that is blowing brings it down to a “feels like” of 42. Good day to stay indoors.
