No, most people don’t think of their body as a temple. They should, but they don’t.

At sixty eight my body is starting to become a pain magnet in the joints.

My mind says, “I can still do that!” My body says, “Try it and die fat boy!”

The Joseph theory at work…store up food during the seven years of plenty sot that your body will survive the following seven years of famine.

My wife and I could think of our bodies as a pill/medication warehouse.

The only time I could eat like that was a bike trip over 40 years ago. Now I order an appetizer and a togo box.

At one time my body was a temple, now it’s more like a bouncy castle.

I had my 65th birthday yesterday. Traditionally, we get to choose where we dine the night of our day. I wanted chinese, and I’m most fulfilled by a good combination plate. But the wife redirected us to a chinese buffet restaurant and, especially for $24, I went ‘whole hog’ with three plates. Felt stuffed, and the only atonement is that it’s been years since I’ve had temptation without limits.

That guy isn’t going to have good health. He’s not long for this world, I’m thinking.

Turning 70 in a month; not a health freak. not very many aches. I find that a 30 minute walk a couple times a week keeps my joints in good shape. They start hurting if I slack off on the walking too much, though. Also, I’m outta there after the first layer of that plate. I know my limits.
