Roz, look out for the whispers…..
You are. You just don’t like what they are saying.
I tried to be the talk of the town, but it gave me laryngitis.
How about town crier? Hear ye, hear ye!
Or the talker of the town?
Some around town do talk about the food and service at the diner.
You are the talk of the town……..but they don’t do it in your presence (their afraid of the response) ! ! !
I´d like to be the talk of my house.
These days it’s likely best to not be the talk of the town or any social media there Roz.
It’s all dependent on where you leave your phone number.
Date Cosmo. Tongues will wag.
Not me. Flying under the radar means fewer targets on your back.
Roz, considering your customer’s comments regarding your food, you shouldn’t be anxious to have them talking too openly about you.
Waitresses are tipped well if they have tiny shorts, aprons, and tops. She would be tipped for slacks, a full apron, and a jacket.
“murmur of the municipality” would preserve the alliteration.
These days, it’s much safer to avoid drawing attention at all.
Just run for office. They’ll find plenty to say about you.
I’ve been happiest when people just keep their mouths shut.
