well Fred, not really your fault but next time maybe stay on the down low?

Seriously! This is the second time Mr. Dear didn’t call home about being late. How inconsiderate can he be? And why is he coming home at almost 1:30 in the morning? Unless he was saving someone’s life, he has no good reason.

He might have an excuse, but that’s nothing like a good reason.

Mr. Dear ran into his old school chum, Andy Capp.

Not your fault Fred. Mrs. Dear was up waiting for him to come home to give him the 3rd degree, again!

Trouble in Paradise.

Last week, he came in late and she said she didn’t notice. Now she’s chewing him out and she only noticed because of Fred’s barking.

Can’t you do some positive strips. I mean so far the rate is 3:5 being negative. Fred Basset used to be funny all the time.

Isn’t it courteous to let your mate know when you are going to be really late like this? Seems pretty inconsiderate to moi! You might be lying dead somewhere. (And it’s interesting that she wasn’t worried about him).

Oh, dear, Fred.

You were just being a good boy, but now Mr. Dear has been caught being a bad one.

Poor Fred – he just can’t win. Last week his man was displeased because Fred didn’t come; now he’s upset because Fred DID come.

Mr Dear has changed not as nice as he was before.Bet he was having a few pints at the pub
