We played outside on our own at that age – went home when we were hungry or if we got hurt – mom would look us over – no broken bones, no blood – stop whining and go back outside. Had to be home when it started getting dark or the street lights came on.
Living in a small town, the whole town would keep an eye on me and my older sisters. When it was time to come in, mom would blow her whistle and we came a running.

Who would be stupid enough to try something with a dog who can go from a playful puppy to a fierce protector in the blink of an eye?

All I know—-is that I am not going to try anything with a dog that if he ‘feels the need’ can be taller than me plus probably outweighs me ! ! ! !

I wouldn’t go there, lady. You might make him angry, and you won’t like him when he’s angry.
