That was a year ago; today he has a whole new act and a new comedy style, and nobody’s laughing now.

He’s not out standing in his field.

We’ll have to farm that joke out. It cropped up.

Comedians take any laughs they can get.

Was the audience full of donkeys? Easy laughs.

Comedy not a stable career eh horsie.

Did you leave a present for them on the stage?

Do your Michael Richards impersonation, Horace!! They’ll NEVER forget you, then!!

But he killed it with the elevator jokes!

Horace got horse laughs.

The howls were not meant well, Horace.

the jokes on you Horace… when you said “Knock, knock, whose there? Horace. Horace who? Horace you gonna tell us a joke?”

Laughter always follows you, Horace.

I think Horace needs a Laugh Track.

Awwww! Poor Horace…..now he’ll never sleep tonight.

I’m here… all weak.

That’s why some people take a challenge to laugh WITH, not AT, a given unpromising comedian.

I wrote comedy for a couple of morning disc jockeys for a while. One of them had a recurring “bad comedian” character. That did not always work because to the listener it is basically a coin-flip between parodying a bad comedian and just plain being a bad comedian. :)
