Years ago, we had a Norwegian Elk Hound that was near completely untrainable except to be house broken and pulling sleds. She was incredibly powerful for her 45 lb. size and a as cuddly as could be. I would often find my daughter and her curled up napping in the dog’s bed together. One year I bought a small children’s dog sled while in Germany and shipped it home. The next winter I assembled it and when we went outside in the snow the dog started dancing around the sled like she knew what it was but had never seen one before. She pulled that sled with my daughter in it all over the neighborhood and then some seeming not to want to quit. Best “dog toy” I could have ever gotten her. As a bonus the sled came with a set of portage wheels so we still could go sledding in the spring and summer. Now I have English Bulldogs that can barely pull their tummies down the block.
Oh, come on now. You must admit that Brutus supports his family. Gladys is a stay at home mom. Wilberforce is a decent kid. Brutus is a fine husband and caring person. Loves his Uncle Ted. Stays out of trouble (mostly except for Mother Gargle). America/World needs more Born Losers like Mr. Brutus Perry “Thorny” Thornapple. Hear Hear.
Few dogs are. However, he is a great family friend and loves you all. Guess you’ll just have to get out those cross country skiis and hump it yourself. When l was stationed in Germany 50 years ago, l saw kids do that to go to school. Pretty cool as l remember…..

And let me guess…he’s the family guard dog but the only thing he guards with any competency happens to be his supper dish.;-D

Put a squirrel in the right place and Kewpie will provide all the speed you’ll need. Maybe a good bit more than you need.

Would you pull a sled if the only thing they offered you was mush? Try some doggie treats.

You need a long stick, a string, and a hot dog.

Our English Mastiff was as big a couch potato as I am. I miss the big goof. He was always ready for a good nap.

Does Kewpie have a “back story”? Has anyone used QP as a nickname? How did the name originate?

When it’s nap time, it’s nap time. Kewpie is right on schedule! 44-hour nap.
