In my opinion MLK, Jr is a candidate for Top US Citizen Ever. That said, the hope he expressed above can never come true until a sufficient majority of human beings evolve past the primitive traits so necessary for the survival of our earliest ancestors, yet so prohibitive of ever overcoming them sufficiently to cease to pose constant existential danger to ours and every other species.
