That conversation was almost word for word at our house the other day.SIX boxes for two cats. Enough was enough. I let them keep one and the following day Amazon brought them another one. It’s small so they can keep it for a while.
Sis’s boss Lou doesn’t care about boxes, which is probably a good thing considering that sis does about 90% of her shoppping on the Big River. Bags are a whole ‘nother story – drop one on the floor & he’s checking it out instantly! For that, there’s Aldi’s delivery & Door Dash.
Here’s the trick: boxes sized to nest inside each other when put away. Caution, check for cats before storing. :)
Reminds me of when I moved in with my second wife. Years previously she had been married to a very successful lawyer, had given dinner parties, and collected a lot of garden furniture which now crowded the deck above our two-car garage.
We rarely had more than two visitors at a time and led a quiet life with my cat. One day, after tripping over one of ten chairs scattered around the deck, I asked her, “Just how many chairs does the cat need to nap in?”

Our cats have aged out of interest in boxes. The living room is finally clear.

My gang are having a grand old time right now with two paper bags. The three males, that is; the female prefers to sit in the window and sulk.

Only two boxes?! You can’t be serious, Angie!

Sounds reasonable Mittens, you can only sit in one at a time

I wonder if The Mittens has this place on speed dial yet…if not, don’t tell him…
