One of my Grade 12 teachers admonished me for an incorrect answer, stating that my father, my uncle and my sister were all very good students (it’s a relatively small community, and she had been teaching for many years). I stood up and said: “I am not my father … I am not my uncle … and I am most certainly not my sister.” Luckily, the principal’s office was just next door and a seat was easily found for me.
Perhaps the tests was more about indoctrination than truth. For example, most history is bunk written by the winners. Reference Zackery Taylor on the $20 bill.
No. You arrive a “blank slate”; don’t leave the same way.
The idea is to learn how to learn and not how to shirk. Despite the incessant comic meme, school is not about the details, which you may never use. It’s about being exposed to a world of choices, learning self-discipline, how to use resources like books AND teachers to learn the things you do want to know.

I bet you knew the answers, Zack, but you just couldn’t be bothered answering them properly.
