According to the Bible, the road to Heaven is straight and narrow but the road to Hell is broad.

Both are pretty good movies, anyway. Someone missed the opportunity to make a horror movie titled “Roadkill on the Highway to H-ll”. (I could be wrong.)

Enter through the narrow gate, For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it.

Which also explains why Jesus Christ said, “only a few find the way to Heaven” Matthew 7:14

    Matthew 7: 13-14

Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it.

I don’t worry about heaven and hell.

When I was an Air Force pilot, I was subjected to harsh working conditions: frequent family separations, long hours, cold and hot climates and not the least of which, getting shot at or otherwise killed.

For all this, I got extra pay at the end of the month – the extra pay did not cover the B.S. I had to put up with to get it. So why did I do it? I did it because I loved to fly.

There is a bit of Buddhism in this: concentrate on the means and the ends will take care of themselves.

My contention is that if you are following some sort of religion for the purpose of dying so you can go to heaven, you are in it for the wrong reason. You should ENJOY doing whatever it is you have to do to follow your beliefs.

I never lived my professional life for the purpose of the paycheck at the end of the month. I don’t live my real life for “what’s in it for me at the end?”

Then there are those of us who are in the “Ten Sins or Greater Express Lane”. My motto is “Lead me not.. oh, who am I kidding? Follow me, I know a shortcut.”
