I have a friend whose husband cuts out the local ad for Valentine flowers, which cost $19.99, folds it around a $20 bill, places it in a long-stemmed vase, and presents it to her each year. She claims she would rather have the money than the flowers which will eventually die – she has Valentine flowers (the ad cuts out) going back 31 years (they dated for two years and have been married for 29). Question though – so flower prices have been constant for over 30 years????
