The girls hand on him and the smile on her face proves it.

Animals are great therapy. A mini horse visited me the last time I was in the hospital. My last nursing home has a cat living in the courtyard. I watched her play on cooler days.

Amazing what a pet can do. When my sister, late brother-in-law, and I would visit our mother in the nursing home we would bring Rocky a rescue Golden Retriever his presence would light up the residents.

I remember when I was in the hospital, every Wednesday they would have a wonderful therapy dog come in…not as big as Marm, but just as friendly!

This is SO sweet of Marmaduke to be by a patient’s bedside. Which brings to mind how valuable it is to have therapy pets in facilities where there are patients who need them.

There is a hospital here in Ft. Worth that actually has dogs on staff to help as companions to patients.
