I know a couple of tech firms that would put you on a “badge report” if you badged in after 9AM. Get too many and you were reprimanded and marked down on your yearly review. Even if you were there working hours after your scheduled leave time the previous night. Bad weather, traffic, no parking places, no excuses. Petty tin-badge dictators they are.
