    That’s how TV comedy often is. Nowadays, comedy shows don’t have laugh tracks so there is often no evidence at all that they are MEANT to be funny.

    Oh, it’s not just Brit TV. There is American TV which, since the 1950s, have put fake laugh tracks on TV shows to indicate where what are supposed to pass for jokes are…
