Not insured, it’s an act of God.

My father was an insurer; he told me that insurance companies will attack any pretext, even absurd ones, in order not to pay the damages. And if they pay, it is only when the damages are not less than a certain amount, usually very high.

Guess what, it doesn’t matter. They were not there when I bought the policy and they are there now. The most recent storm is irrelevant.

Insurance companies survive by chiseling you. You need to switch to stable, trustworthy protection like home warranties.

Buying insurance puzzles me. I give strangers money. They are betting that I won’t have an accident(or die). I am betting that I will. They have 100s of analyses to back their bet. I have the belief I will beat their odds. Huh.

Insurance companies are the worst. If you have a mortgage you have to have insurance. But after paying tens of thousands of dollars for it they’ll beat you to death trying to deny a claim.

Give me a hand and pull these power lines back outside.
