    Hi Vagabonds

Boy, oh boy, do we have sunshine this morning, however we only have 6 degrees. The forecast says sunny and 37 degrees. SAP RUN!

I have a CD ROM which has prints of the old Beers maps from 1878 of Orleans County, up in the northern corner of the map of Albany there a paragraph that says “4000 tree Sugar place” Just imagine tapping 4000 trees by hand with a bitstock hand drill, and then gathering from 4000 or more buckets (some trees could have more then one bucket) with a horse drawn sled. They had their work cut out for them. Today it would be pipeline, how boring.

That’s my bit for today, maybe I can put together in my mine some of dad old stores to relate to you.

Have a good day Vagabonds and may the Lord be at your side.

    ttfn

    Good morning, Vagabonds.

I went to the medical vampire this morning at my cancer center. For many years now, they have been taking blood from the back of my hand or my wrist because the veins in the crook of my elbows are very elusive. I tried to tell that to the phlebotomist and she pooh-poohed it and said she would be able to find the vein. She couldn’t, but not for lack of trying. Between her and her supervisor, they must have pulled and pushed on that needle 8 times. They finally found the vein, but it wouldn’t cooperate and actually provide blood flow. So they gave up and took it from my left hand. Next time I’m going to be more forceful about it so I don’t end up with the mincemeat I have now inside of my right elbow.

It will be 2 weeks before I actually get to see the doctor about the results. I’m not expecting any surprises, so I’m not worried at all.

Yesterday’s HOA meeting got cancelled at the last minute because the Community Manager got sick. So we’re having an “emergency” executive board meeting on the 5th to take care of the business we couldn’t address last night.

I’ll be spending time with Cozy again today and then off to church this evening with Mike.

We’ve got a pretty day outside today after having rain all day yesterday. And I do mean all day. It started not too long after I posted here and was still raining when I went to bed last night. We’re supposed to get a bit warmer at 65 than yesterday.

    Everyone have a blessed day.
