I made a muslin peasant blouse (with embroidered designs) and a denim skirt when I was in 10 grade in the 1970s. I still have them, and they still fit!
If it no longer fits but it’s part of you, save it and make an appointment with yourself to do what you just did. Look at it once in awhile for the memories if nothing else. Just take a look at my closet….no, on the other hand, don’t.
