The only love letters that I wrote were those I sent when I away on my ship deployed to other parts of the world. Back then, there was no such thing as “email”. It would take at the very least a week to get there as well as replies received. I posted pictures of my wife and kids inside my locker so I could see them everytime I opened it up. Even when I got out, my wife spent many long hours at work and came home very tired. It’s so nice to see her more than ever since we retired! Happy Valentines day to all! ❤️
I want to learn more about Flo and Andy’s courtship. What made this woman get with a wastrel like Andy? I’m guessing it was because he was a charming, rakish devil back in the day.
I’m guessing a fiver was a lot of money in those days? Depending what year the letter was written.

Lent has begun! I don’t miss Facebook at all. But I’m still going back to it on Easter Sunday. I kind of need it as it’s easier to communicate with people that way and vice versa.

Don’t think of him as a husband. Consider him a freeloading co-renter.
