At least they are small dogs. Just wait till he has to walk a bunch of Large dogs, (say in the 80 lb. plus range), and see how he does.

Keeping them all on leash is one thing, staying untangled is awholenother trip.

When I had multiple dogs, I would leash them in series: the handle (loop) of one leash to the collar of another dog. Mellow dogs further out; hyper dogs closer to me. Then I taught the pack to heel. Very few tangles.

We chatted this morning with a woman walking two large dogs. Moments later a Siberian husky walked by, and her dogs pulled her flat on her face in the street.

Rarely walk(ed) any of our dogs unless on a trip, then there were 2 of us one pooch per person, when I took the 2 we had at one time to vet – 1 short leash with a coupler of 2 shorter leashes, one for each dog so they could not go in different directions, much easier to handle 180 pounds worth of poochies, only had 2 at same time once, rest were just one at a time

Walking more than 1 dog at a time is a recipe for disaster. JIMHO.
