Alligators have a wide snout with rounded nose, the teeth are mostly inside the lips. Crocodiles have narrow wedge shaped snouts with a small rounded tip and most of the teeth can be seen.
Alligators have an average life span of up to 50 years with some as much as 80 years. So there’s a good chance that an alligator will, indeed, see you again.
I’ll just hope that should I encounter one or the other, I’ll be with someone who does know the difference — and who’ll take the time to slow down and attempt to tutor me while I’m running my a$$ off.

Doesn’t one have more teeth? I just know I don’t wanna meet up with either one of them.
