I think boiling coffee ruins it. Used to be a percolator user, grew up with it but now I find it hurts the flavor, once through the grounds is enough. Just my opinion

This is really plumbing the depths of coffee humor.

My dad always insisted on piping hot coffee. I wonder how he kept from burning his tongue. When he got to be my age, he would complain if it was too hot.
