Our son’s middle school science teacher was so new and young — and small — that we thought she was one of the students. At Meet-the-Teacher night, it took her a moment to convince the parents she was legit. Had the same with his high school track coach — we were convinced he was one of the athletes having some fun with us. Then our son became a teacher and got yelled at by security for parking in the teachers lot. Ah, the young teaching days!
“A new survey of teenagers by ACT has found that despite all of the challenges thrown up by the pandemic in the past few years, teens are overwhelmingly optimistic about their futures. More than 80 percent of students said they feel high levels of optimism that their lives will turn out well.”
