The squeak but they aren’t good for sneaking.

Tomorrow they will stop squeeking and she won’t want them anymore.

Man, I thought I’d read all of Cul De Sac several times, but I definitely don’t remember this story arc. New, lost strips, or did I somehow miss this one through all the rereads?

The squeaking never stops. Just like her whining.

Sooo——why don’t you just get her a loose fan belt? Much cheaper.

Alice never stops, either.

Pink hearts and yellow flowers and orange stars and blue diamonds and green clovers.

It’s like marshmallow cereal for your feet to eat!

She’ll hate them before they get to the car. I know I’ve seen this series, but I’m just guessing here.

Ah, the fun of being a kid, getting new cheap sneakers and wearing them home.

If those shoes are for school, Miss Bliss will NOT be thanking you, Mom!

If you pour Coke on a fan belt, it will stop the squeaking, but I don’t think that will work for Alice.

Something else that never stops…
