It is the same old thing: my parents couldn’t stand with both West Coast and Prog Rock. Not to mention Led Zeppelin and Black Sabbath.

The problem with that is that our dumb songs were actually meant to be dumb, today they would be called “meming”. Today’s dumb songs aren’t supposed to be dumb songs, they just are. And yes, there still is good music today, but the dumb songs are the mayority (and yes, that was actually proven scientifically, today’s pop music is way simpler, with way less variation than 90s pop music was).

Norm is a serious expert when it comes to dumb songs. He’ll defend Yummy, Yummy, Yummy to the death.

I just happened to be lucky enough that music reached its absolute peak at exactly the moment I became old enough to appreciate songs about love, broken hearts, etc.
