I’ve seen a lot of funny memes on social media.Last week I saw two senior citizens sitting next to each other. It said: My memory really sucks Mildred,so I changed my password to “incorrect”.That way when I log in with the wrong password, the computer will tell me…”Your password is incorrect”.
Oh yes! Creating a password can be a royal PITA!! In fact just this morning, I was online for almost a half hour with my car finance company trying to regenerate a new password!! But as funk singer Jimmy Caster sang, This is “The Space Age”.
I still work in accounting and prepare returns for three or four tax clients. I got this year’s software. I normally load same onto my laptop and one of my husband computers. My desktop computer uses an operating system too old for the program. I loaded it onto my laptop – when the first sign in window came up my info from last year and I just went ahead using it again. I also load it into my husband’s computer just in case something goes wrong with mine (we keep all data on removable drives).
When I went to sign in – the sign from last year did not come up. It needs the same sign in on both computers. After wasting over an hour – I just did the part of the work I would do on husband’s computer by hand – good thing I started preparing returns long before home computers.
Later he found out – the program does not work right on Win 11 and that was the problem! IT DOESN’T WORK ON WIN 11????!!!!!!

Some people just do recover password each time they login because of password rules. Funny how they keep forgetting the human factor.

You’d better post it on fb so you know where to find it next time.

I have a bag of numbers and symbols leftover from a motivational board, that I draw from. It makes good strong passwords.

That sounds like my password.

So strong you need to write it down on a post-it near the computer for everyone to see.
