In the meantime in the upper tree branches the squirrel cheerleaders or working on their routines for the upcoming season: Dogs are stinky, pew they smell! Taunt them! Mock them! Run like hell! XD

This explains why my dog was so hyper today.

Our goldendoodle has been chasing squirrels and rabbits all winter.

Imagine that.

Newton doesn’t chase squirrels, but he frequently does zoomies in big circles around the backyard.

Rover just needs a squirrel who hasn’t been doing spring training!

Rover is in rare form!

I noticed my cat out on the patio practicing jumps. WTH?

A few days later, while I was on the phone, I was looking out the window past the stick-on bird feeder, when my cat jumped up and came down with a bird in her mouth.

I moved the feeder up another foot. My cat practiced for another week and caught another bird.

Practice, practice, practice.

(I removed the bird feeder.)

Wind sprints and barking training. Rover going all out, ears and tongue flying in the breeze.

Do it till it becomes already instinct!!

Rover is jealous that Red can climb trees and he can’t.
