It’s cloudy this morning and I do mean cloudy, about halfway down the ridge. We started with 42 degrees, wow, the sap probably ran all night, they gon’a be busy in the sugar house today.
Headed for Dartmouth today, Neurology wants to see what’s going on under Andy’s skullcap and if it had anything to do with his fall.
While I’m on the subject of health how is Michael doing? Hope he’s doing well.
We’ll be off to see the wizard around noon and be back after dark. Oh, goody.
Blessed be your day Vagabond, may God go with you.
It’s another bright beautiful morning in the neighborhood. We got up over 70 yesterday and today is supposed to be almost more of the same (69).
I’m still trying to get my computer up to snuff. I’m at a standstill until I can get my files migrated over from the old one. We have a backup service but it won’t allow me to restore the files from the old computer to the new one unless I input a code that they email to me. The problem is that I don’t get the emails. I’ve put in a complaint/service request but I haven’t heard back from them yet. I’m about ready to use a flash drive instead.
We (I) forgot to lock the cats inside yesterday afternoon, so after 7 they were still out and about. I went walking around this entire property looking for them and of course they were home with the doors shut by the time I got back. Should have taken the walkie-talkie with me.
I heard the other day that when walkie-talkies were invented in the 30’s, the military loved them and the newspaper reporters named them. The inventor was a morse code radio operator who was working with a group of naturalists. Their transport out of the wilderness area they were surveying got cancelled due to weather and they had to walk out and managed to get lost. He decided that if they had voice communication rather than morse, it would have been easier to communicate with their base and get rescued. So he invented it. Lighter weight and no need to learn the complicated code.
I’m not sure I want to leave Michael home alone today so I think I will beg off with Cozy today. Either that or have her come here.
