I used to love playing with worms.
When I would head down to one of our ponds (tanks, to some people) I didn’t bother digging up worms even though they were easy to dig and plentiful. I just caught grasshoppers as the need arose.
It’s too late, she has already named all the worms.
Bait?….I thought it was snacks!
Our granddaughter did the exact same thing. That ended the fishing trip!
They’re getting pretty chummy.

If he seems frustrated now, wait until she starts making friends with the fish he catches — and then sees what he’s going to do with them!
And definitely don’t feed them.
