“Turn your hobby into a career, and you’ll never work a day in your life” Except that’s not true. My hobby doesn’t require administration, bookkeeping, accountancy, etc. And if I don’t feel like doing my hobby tthen I just skip it for a day or a week or a couple of months. But if it’s your career then you need to do it. And you need to earn money with it. And you will get angry clients, and you will have to handle complaints. Turn your hobby into a career, and you’ll quickly lose your hobby.
There’s an old joke about a man who spots the same young man serenading a young woman every evening. He decides to promote the romance and talk to the girl’s father. Full of his own good deed, he tells the young man that they can now get married.
The young man ponders for a moment and then asks, “But what will I do with my evenings?”
