    I remember, too. As a kid growing up in the 50’s, NG was a hot ticket. You could always count on a few pictures of native women in varying states of undress.

    Syphosis, sandfan: Some of the following might be causes of change at NG.

    Playboy, Penthouse, Christian Missionaries, Political Correctness, Actual Science(?) not necessarily in that order. And for anyone who might be taking things a bit too seriously (this is a comic strip) I offer my list with tongue in cheek.

    and before there was NG, there was Gauguin. Before him, Rubens. To hear people talk, you’d think the National Geographic Society DISCOVERED nudity.
