That’s been here since Tues night; major cold, winds that will knock you on the ground and rain. I’m not exaggerating about the wind. On Wed we had errands and each time I tried to get or out of the truck, the wind would either grab the door so I couldn’t shut it or slam it into my leg, depending on the direction. I have two bruises because I wasn’t fast enough. Trying to get to the door at WalMart was a challenge and I’m a big person. I saw parents having to pick up kids so they wouldn’t get knocked over.
Continues to be a mild one in the Western Great Lakes region. So little snow and rain this past season that we get to worry about wildfires this summer :/
At the beginning of March, I made comments on the three Saints Days which begin March. First there is Saint David’s Day which is the most important as Saint David is patron saint of Wales. Then there is Saint Chad’s Day and the rhyme, “Saint David and Saint Chad, sow seed good or bad.” Then March 3 is Saint Winnaloe’s Day and there is another rhyme, “First Saint David then Saint Chad, Then Winnaloe as though he was mad.” This refers to stormy weather associated with Saint Winnaloe’s Day.
No snow this March in the Hudson Valley of New York. We only had three snowfalls all winter. It’s always possible we’ll have another, but we were in the 60s and 70s this week.
Back in the day when I had good knees, I’d like to go March-ing in parades. I’d march in today’s parade, the St.Patrick’s Day Parade with the Wild Irish Band. But, alas, now I need to make sure the band has a float to ride on.

Interesting funny comic today for March the 16th.
Kind of reminds me of a plot from a Shakespearean play called Julius Caesar. “Beware the day AFTER the IDES of MARCH! It’s going to be BAD!”

Here in Michigan, March rarely passes without an ice storm. Mother Nature uses ice to prune her trees.

The weather is decent where I am and I hope it stays that way. I don’t want any more snow.

I’m with you regarding the March/April weather, Nate.
However, after reading today’s comic, I don’t think I’ll be messing with March anytime soon …
