The other night I watched “The Bride of Frankenstein” so I could again enjoy the wonderful Max Steiner score that I first loved in my childhood seeing Flash Gordon serials in movie theaters. It was the Flash Gordon serials that Star Wars was imitating with the receding narrative.

In panel one, is the red arrow on the ship supposed to point in the direction of rotation, or does it serve another purpose?
