Hey – YOU got him the “Rambo” rifle… What’s missing is the lessons that should come with such things; that a real man uses his strength (and technology) for noble purposes, for protection of the weak and oppressed, not simply blasting for the sake of blasting. The Newtowns and Columbines never happened when kids were reared with bb guns and 22s. Causation may be worth exploring, although it could also be simple degeneration of society, seemingly beginning with the Warren Court expulsion of religion from schools. The usual culprit I suppose, unanticipated consequences arising from a radical change forced on the culture by a few leftists.
