When my kids were still in school, I had a BIG box of school supplies for whenever any of them ran short. So yeah, ask Mom first!
Oh, and one type of school supply I kept on hand was the pencil-length white eraser in a plastic sleeve with a clicker on the side to extend and retract the eraser. Very helpful for mistake-prone activities such as math tests!
