TV: Know what? I'm sick of apologizing. I'm not apologizing any more. I despise black people! So does every other God-fearing southern Republican politician! So does the majority of Americans who voted us into office! So don't try to crucify me for saying what most of America's been thinking! I miss the days when darkies knew their place! Whew! Just had to get that one last immoral thought out of my system. Now let's put it behind us and build a better tomorrow, shall we?

Now waitaminnit…
I’m a God-fearing Southern Republican, though I refuse to be a politician, and I have never felt that way.
I’m as guilty as anyone of being an ignernt-ass now and again, but I’ve never wished to subjugate anyone.

If God is this all lovng compassionate entity, what is there to fear?

I’m a big fan of my benevolent God, but people who hide behind God, need fear to keep others in line. They’d certainly deserve it if that’s the God they met when their time comes.

herdleader1953, the verb “fear” didn’t mean “be scared” when that phrase originated; it connotes an ultimate level of respect, obedience, and submission.
That said, anyone who is truly God-fearing, and has an IQ over 30, and actually understands Judeo-Christian mores, has never felt that any group of people should “know their place” or be more than nominally subject to another group.
