We can’t tell Newton someone is coming later because he runs to the door to see if they are there—he just doesn’t get “later.”

There was a song in the ‘80s called “Crazy In the Night” by Kim Carnes (look it up). At the beginning of the song you hear footsteps, then a knock on a door, followed by a whispered, “Who is it?” When I bought the record & listened to it at home, my brother’s dog Benji was in the room with me. After hearing that opening Benji ran for the door, barking.

My Lizzie barks any time someone even steps onto my property or if someone walks by on the sidewalk. She’s a great watch puppy!

LOL…. Red ought to know by now, dogs take the world and everything that happens or is said literally…

Deprogramming Rover just to do ‘knock-knock’ jokes seems like a lot of work.
